Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience you're facing with. As a moderator, I can totally understand your concern and your feeling. Unfortunately, the current design uses bold text for unread chats, and there’s no built-in option to change the color. At present, we have no other better methods to provide you with to fix this problem. Since we are not Microsoft employees, but participants in this forum, you need Microsoft to solve this problem in subsequent system updates. I suggest that you may need to submit your problem in the Feedback Center. And as a user role, your feed is truly valuable for user experience. Per your need for this feature, I recommend you to Send feedback on our Microsoft Teams · Communityor submit feedback:
- In Teams app: Settings → Help & feedback → Suggest a featureas it is monitored by our Product Team to help improve user experience with Teams through given feedback.
In the meantime, I suggest some alternative methods you can refer to:
- Unread Chats Not Showing Properly
- This is often a sync or cache issue. Try:
- Clear Teams cache: Go to Settings → Apps → Teams → Storage → Clear cache.
- Sign out and back in to refresh the state.
- Ensure you’re on the latest version of Teams from the Play Store.
- Mute or Stop Comment Notifications After Meetings
- You can mute a group chat after a meeting:
- Open the chat → Tap the three dots (⋮) → Mute.
- Alternatively, turn off notifications for reactions and replies:
- Settings → Notifications → Chat → Turn off “@mentions” or reactions.
