How to remove traces of old language pack in new language pack?

Windows is trash and this is a fact.

So here is the thing:

I live in Mexico and I got a prebuilt that had a trial of Windows 11 to check on parts. After this I bought a licence of Windows 11 Pro because I need my system to be in English due to specific shortcuts tied to system language in some apps.

So, I installed English but, of course Windows being the piece of trash that it is, still has the old language, Spanish.

How can I fix this without a clean install? I can't have that since all of my stuff is migrated and I already set everything up.

Thanks in advace for helping me in, yet another, proof that Windows is trash.

Hi there, this is Marc. Thanks for reaching out to the community.

You don’t need a clean install to fix this. In Windows 11, go to Settings > Time & language > Language & region and make sure English is set as the Windows display language. Then remove Spanish under Preferred languages. Next, go to Settings > Time & language > Administrative language settings > Copy settings and check both boxes to apply English to the welcome screen and new user accounts.

To fully clear leftovers, also check Settings > Apps > Installed features and uninstall any Spanish language pack that still shows. Finally, restart your PC so the changes apply everywhere. This should remove the traces of the old language pack without reinstalling Windows.

    Best regards,
