I am trying to reset my hotmail id.

I have a recovery mail id (which is my gmail id), and it sends me the key and lets me reset the password. after that it shows "Too many requests" and does not allow me to login.

Also, I had earlier set up authenticator, looks like it is on a different mobile, so I am not able to use option to reset using authenticator

Hi, thank you for reaching out. I’m happy to help.

Usually, the 'Too many requests' error message appears when the system detects multiple access attempts in a short period of time. Try waiting more than 24 hours before attempting to log in again. During this time, avoid making any login attempts to allow previous attempts to expire. After 24 hours, try logging in to see if the issue is resolved.

If the issue persists after 24 hours, try using incognito mode or a different browser, and switch to another network, such as your mobile hotspot, to log in. You can also try using an alternative method like face recognition, fingerprint, or PIN by selecting 'Other ways to sign in.'
