    Hi @Albert Lysko (gmail)

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Regarding that you can't see older chat in Teams. I’d like to ask a few quick questions to better understand your situation and assist you more effectively:

1.Are you using a personal Microsoft account or a work/school account provided by your organization?

2.Does this issue also happen to other users?

3.Are you accessing Teams via the desktop app, web browser, or mobile app? If possible, please try signing in from a different platform to see if the issue persists.

4.Have you recently changed organizations, tenants, or accounts? Sometimes switching accounts can affect chat visibility.

5.Do you see the missing chats when searching for a specific contact or keyword in the search bar at the top of Teams?

6.If possible, could you please share a screenshot (with any sensitive info blurred) to help us better understand what you're seeing?

7.Have you checked the chat filter settings? If it's set to "Unread," it may hide older chats. Try switching it back to "Chat" to see if that helps.

I'm truly sorry for the inconvenience you've encountered. While my initial response may not resolve the issue immediately, I’d like to gather more details about your situation so I can assist you more effectively.

I really appreciate your patience, and I’m here to help. Looking forward to your response

    Hi @Albert Lysko (gmail)

Thank you for replying, I really appreciate the information that you have given me.

1.First could you please try to sign in to Microsoft Teams on the web to check if you can see the chat normally.

2.Try to change the Teams viewing chat, channel to Separate

    First go to settings
    User's image

Then in chat and channels change the view to separate

Thank you for providing the steps to resolve the issue.

As I came to execute them, I found that the problem miraculously disappeared, as sudden as it had appeared.

If there are some logs I could share with you to help to understand the problem, please advise.
