I'm being invited to attend old Teams meetings

Normal behavior:

I use Android Auto often, and I take meetings in the car.

When meetings begin, I get a notifikation and a request to answer the call to participate. This works well. Then I arrive with my car, sometimes transfer an active meeting from my phone (Samsung S22) to the Desktop. This also works well.

Abnormal behavior:

At the end of the day, I drive home. Soon after activating Android Auto, I receive new notifications to attend ALL the (teams-enabled) meetings I have had recently. I decline each one of them. This is abnormal behavior - I should not receive notifications about meetings from the past, only active meetings.

Then I go visit a gas-station, I turn off the car, fill the gas, start the car to go drive again - and the same notifications keep reappearing, despite being declined from the screen on Android Auto. This also happens if I unplug/re-plugin the link to the Android device. This is abnormal behavior.

    To better understand, may I clarify: 

    1.Are you using a personal Microsoft account, a school account, a work account for Teams? 

    2.When your phone is not connected to Android Auto, do past meeting notifications appear unexpectedly? 

    3.Please ensure that Teams app is on the latest version and your Android phone is running Android 14 or newer 

    In the meantime, I suggest you try to re-install Teams app on your phone: 

    Uninstall Microsoft Teams, restart your phone, reinstall the app, and reconfigure notifications. 

     

    If Teams notification work fine when disconnected to Android Auto, this suggests that Android Auto might be improperly handling or resending notifications from Teams when connected, possibly due to a sync issue or how it processes dismissed notifications. You can provide feedback Android Auto to alert the developer of this behavior. 

     

    If past meeting notifications appear when your phone is not connected to Android Auto, I sincerely recommend you try to create a support ticket to Microsoft Support team. 

    If you’re using a work account, your Global Admin will need to submit a support ticket on your behalf. The Global Admin should create a service request with Microsoft support to get advanced technical assistance and diagnostics.
