I transferred files and programs over to a new all in one computer. I want to give my old Windows 10 laptop to my daughter. How can I easily remove my files but keep programs and apps intact?

Hi there, this is Marc. Thanks for reaching out to the community.

The “Reset this PC” feature either keeps your personal files but reinstalls Windows (which wipes programs), or removes everything including apps. The simplest way to achieve what you want is to manually delete your personal files (Documents, Downloads, Pictures, etc.), sign out of your Microsoft account, and create a new local account for your daughter to use. You may also want to clear your browser data, uninstall any apps tied to your personal accounts, and run Disk Cleanup to tidy up leftover data. This way, your installed programs remain untouched, and she gets a clean environment without your personal files cluttering the system.

    Best regards,
