How do I separate my Teams Chats from my Teams Channels? I go to settings>Chat and Channels but do not have any option to separate.

    Dear @Bello Connie

Welcome to the Q&A Community. Thank you for sharing your concerns.

I understand you've updated to the latest version of Teams. In the new experience, chats and channels may appear combined by default. However, you can switch to a separate view for better organization.

To do this, open Microsoft Teams, go to Settings > Chats and Channels, and under Viewing chats and channels, select Separate list view. This will place Chats and Teams as distinct icons on the left-hand navigation bar, helping reduce clutter and improve navigation.

From the screenshot you provided, I noticed you're already in the Chats and Channels settings, but currently viewing the chat-specific options. Please scroll up to locate the Viewing chats, teams, and channels section where you can change the layout.

You can also organize conversations by creating custom sections. Right-click a chat or channel, choose Move to > New section, then name and arrange it as needed.
