How to prepare Bitlocker encrypted c drive before attempting upgrade from W10 to W11?

I am getting two different stories from Asus tech support. One says I need to decrypt my 1 tb c drive before upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11. Another says I can use Windows Powershell commands to suspend encryption before upgrade and resume after upgrade. Suspend is not an option in my control panel or settings, just "turn off".

What do I need to do to my bitlocker encrypted hard drive before attempting upgrade?

    Hello

    Correct, Windows only has the on or off feature, but you can use the pause command to suspend it.

    Please type cmd in the search on the taskbar. Don't press enter key yet. Instead, choose "run as administrator" to launch Command Prompt.

    manage-bde -pause C:

    When everything is done, you can resume it

    manage-bde –resume C:
