After connecting a Windows 11 system to a shared printer on a Windows Server, it has been observed that each printer call is very slow. What troubleshooting steps or solutions are available to address this issue?

    Dear占兴达,

This behavior may be related to driver compatibility, network latency, or print spooler performance. As a first step, we recommend verifying that the latest printer drivers—preferably Type 4 or Universal Print Class drivers—are installed on both the server and client. Additionally, ensure that the Windows 11 system is fully updated and that the print spooler service is running without delays.

You may also consider enabling printer sharing using the Web Services for Devices (WSD) protocol or testing with direct IP printing to isolate the issue. If Group Policy or security settings are in place, reviewing any restrictions on print job processing may help improve performance.

I hope this helps. Just kindly tick Accept Answer that others in the community facing similar issues can easily find the solution. Your contribution is highly appreciated.

    Best regards,

Thank you for your reply. Currently, Win10 does not have this problem. It only appears in Win11 (which has been updated with the latest patch). In Win11, it can be used normally by directly connecting to the printer via IP. Windows Server has also been changed to the 2022 version, but the problem still exists. I have seen many other similar posts. Is it a Win11 bug?
