Hello Mat South
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A and informed us about the issue. In order to tackle with the audio issue, please follow these methods:
1. Check Permissions:
- Open Windows settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone > Enable Microphone access in Copilot.
2. Repair/Reset Copilot:
- Open Windows settings > Installed apps > Look for Copilot > Click on the three-dot
- Click Repair, this will fix the app and will fix some temporary glitches
- If the audio issue still there, try Reset next. This will reset the app's data and will restore to default state.
3. Check Settings in Exclusive Mode:
- Right-click the speaker icon on the bottom toolbar > Sound settings > Go to Input section > Select your device > Click on Advanced tab > Uncheck Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device > Apply > OK
- Restart Copilot and test audio again.
