We have an issue where polls are not available to create/launch or close via the polls option within the teams meeting. The only option is to share, when you press share you can then create and launch your polls but everything you are doing is shared with attendees of that meeting. As a workaround we have created and launched from the chat polls tab, however this isn't efficient when delivering training and need to see the chat. is there a there a way to stop this. I have had 5 hosts report this in the last few days and i am also effected by this. it seems to be users who updated teams last weekUser's image

    Hi @Katie Bower

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum

To better understand, may I clarify:

1.Have you noticed any specific error messages or codes when trying to create or launch polls in meetings? If so, could you share them?

2.Are all users or only some specific users experiencing this issue after the update?

3.Have you tried on Teams web version? Does the issue persist?

According to your description, I have created several test environments and experienced the same issue

It seems that the issue is widely affecting many people, including myself. However, I currently don’t have accurate information from Microsoft on whether this is an incident or not. In light of this, I strongly recommend that your Global Admin create a service request with Microsoft Support to obtain advanced technical assistance and diagnostics. For detailed instructions on how to get support, please refer to Get support - Microsoft 365 admin.

Note: If you’re unsure who the Global Admin is within your organization, you can find guidance on locating them here: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support.

Additionally, Global Admin should also report issue via Service Health in Microsoft 365 Admin Center

In the meantime, to ensure your workflow is not disrupted, I suggest you continue using your workaround of creating polls from the chat while our support team handles the issue

We understand how frustrating this issue with the Polls feature must be for you and your team. That said, we’re truly grateful for your patience while we work through it.

Thank you so much for your understanding
