Unable to join Microsoft Teams Meetings - GCC High

For about two weeks now I have been unable to join teams meetings on my work computer. I run linux and access teams through google chrome. I always get the same error page "It looks like there may be a problem with your connection". I have run the internet speed test and I get 90Mbps up/down, which should be sufficient. I've tried using my phone's wifi hotspot. I've tried using a different browser. I've tried using a different laptop (this worked for a few hours and then stopped working). I've tried using a incognito tab - this works sometimes, but even when I'm able to join meetings on an incognito tab, I have to be let into the meeting by someone else (previously I could just hit "join"). I also cannot make calls, through incognito tabs or otherwise. No one else at my organization is experiencing this problem.
I've been clearing my browser cookies every day for years, ever since my organization migrated to teams; at that time, I and many of my coworkers were experiencing endless login loops.

    Hi @Stephen Andrew

Thank you for reaching out and providing such a detailed overview of the issue you're experiencing with joining Microsoft Teams meetings in the GCC High environment.

Based on your description and our investigation, here are a few steps and recommendations that may help migrate the issue:

    1. Try joining as a guest (Anonymous access)

    1. Open an Incognito/Private window in Chrome.
    2. Paste the meeting link.
    3. Click “Continue on this browser”.
    4. Choose “Join as Guest” (don’t sign in).
    5. Enter your name and join.

If this works, your account may not have permission to join GCC High meetings directly.

    1. Try Microsoft Edge for Linux

Download and install Edge from: https://www.microsoft.com/edgeUser's image

    • Scroll down and find Download for Linux (.deb) User's imageUser's image
    • Open the meeting link in Edge.
    • Try joining as guest or signed in.

Edge often works better with Microsoft services than Chrome or Firefox on Linux.

    3. Use the mobile app as a backup

    • Install the Microsoft Teams app on your phone.
    • Join the meeting using the same link.
    • Sign in or join as guest.

This is a reliable workaround when desktop access fails.

    4. Ask IT to check cross-tenant access

If you're supposed to join as an authenticated user, your IT team must:

    • Enable cross-cloud meeting connections.
    • Configure cross-tenant access in Microsoft Entra ID

I hope this information is helpful. Please follow these steps and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can work together to resolve this.

Thank you for your patience and your understanding. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
