Excel on web, script buttons say they are running, but they dont. (For over an hour)

I have had a "Excel" template running for months. Simple copy of hidden sheet to primary sheet. Has been running faithfully for months. Now, scripts simply will not run. The buttons do nothing, as well as the script library. Says setting up to run, never does.

Suggestions ?

    Hi @Robin Ganderton,

Thank you for posting your question on Microsoft Q&A Community. We're happy to help you with your concern.

To help troubleshoot the issue more effectively, could you please clarify a few details?

1/ Are you using Office Scripts or VBA macros? And is this happening in Excel for the web only, or also in the desktop version?
2/ Are the scripts triggered by buttons in the workbook, or are they run manually from the Automate tab?
3/ Do you see any error messages or logs when the script fails to run, or does it just hang on “Setting up to run”?
4/ Have there been any recent changes to the workbook, script, or your Microsoft 365 environment (e.g., updates, permissions, file location)?
5/ Are you able to open and edit the script in the Code Editor, or is that also unresponsive?
6/ Is the file stored in OneDrive, SharePoint, or another location?

Once we have more context, we can better pinpoint whether this is a script issue, a platform issue, or something else.

    Looking forward to your reply.
