Hi - these startup credits - ohh man. We have plenty, but are still being charged and our invoices are not being applied and then to try to get a refund/help is terrible. We are moving to production and want to sort this out ASAP - support are not helping. Can someone please email urgently to set up a time.

Even if you have an active Microsoft for Startups credit, invoices may still be generated under certain conditions:

Startup Credit Application Timing: If the credit was not applied before the billing cycle began, any usage incurred before activation may still be billed.

Billing Scope Misalignment: If the subscription is linked to a billing profile that is not associated with the startup credit, charges may apply.

Service Exclusions: Some Azure services or third-party offerings may not be covered under the startup credit.

How to review and resolve:

Check the Billing Profile: Go to the portal and navigate to Billing > Bills & Payments. Look for the invoice using the reference ID.

Understand the origin of the charge and whether it was offset by your startup credit

If the invoice appears to be incorrect, not aligned with your startup credit or for refund, open a billing support request through the Azure Portal. Include the payment reference ID and clarify that you are under the Microsoft for Startups program.
