Hi...I have W10 laptop that says it cant upgrade to W11 and running the PC Health Check says its a cpu issue.

Yet the exact cpu is on the approved list. It's an AMD A9-9420 with 16G of DDR4 running at 3.6Ghz, dual core. It has a 1T hd too.

What is the issue?

Thanks!

Dee

In addition to what I said in my first response, according to a Microsoft Executive, Even though these lower generations [of processors] also have Trusted Platform Module (TPM) encryption and secure boot capabilities, they are missing reliability and performance optimization. You can check the link below for more details.

I understand. I'm glad to help.

    Hi, good day!

I'm sorry, AMD A9-9420 is not on the list of Windows 11 supported AMD processors.

You may need to consider using Windows 10 as it continues to be a great version of Windows. Microsoft is committed to supporting Windows 10 through October 14, 2025. However, there is an ongoing Extended Security Updates (ESU) consumer program that allows your Windows 10 device to get technical support, new features and security updates until October 2026.
