Troubles upgrading from Win10 to Win11

I'm trying to update my OS from windows 10 to windows 11. I've made sure that tpm2.0 is installed and currently running the most recent BIOS for my motherboard. When I tried the update, the PC ran through all the normal motions as you would expect during an update. After a few minutes the update reached 100% and my machine restarted itself....all normal so far. Then nothing. It was as if there was no display signal to my screen. Keystrokes did nothing, shortcuts did nothing, there was no mouse cursor that I could see on screen. I waited about 20 mins but still nothing was happening. I checked the motherboard and it seemed to be stuck on the VGA light. Another 10mins and I decided to perform a hard reset. After rebooting I was greeted by a message saying that the changes were being undone. Another few minutes and I was back into Windows10 again. This time when I checked for updates it said there was this message "There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0xc1900101)"

Any suggestions on where I'm going wrong? Since then, I've also updated my GPU drivers (thinking maybe that would fix it) but the option to install Window11 is now gone.

Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

Please share the log files "Setupact.log" and "Setuperr.log" stored in the following folders.

    • C:$Windows.~BT\Sources\Panther
    • C:$Windows.~BT\Sources\Rollback

Copy the files or folders to your desktop or another easily accessible folder and store them in a ZIP file. Then, upload the ZIP file to the cloud (OneDrive) and choose it to get the link.

Please post the link to the ZIP file here so I can have a look.

    I await your reply.
