My outlook for Android app is having issues

I've had outlook as my default email app on my phone for several years.

My main email account is not an outlook account but a comcast.net account.

Out of nowhere, when I open the outlook app, it's asking me to sign in. After entering my credentials about 40 times I was finally signed in. Then the next time I open it it asks me to sign in again. I know my password is correct but I have to enter it a ridiculous amount of times before I get in. Everything is fine on my pc.

How can I end this nightmare?

Thank You

I had already removed the account and reinstalled it. Didn't solve the issue. Per your advice Jayden-P, I uninstalled outlook and re-installed and now I seem to be having problems with the setup. I would have thought that would be automatic?? Not sure on the passwords, (are they to be my server password or my outlook password?) either way neither are working.

I duplicated the port settings with my pc port settings, entered the password incoming and outgoing and I am unable to sign in.

It sounds like your Outlook app for Android is facing some issues. You can try the following quick fixes:

    1. Update the app – Go to the Google Play Store and check if a new version of Outlook is available.

Clear cache & data – In your phone settings, go to Apps > Outlook > Storage and clear the cache or data.

Check internet connection – Make sure your Wi-Fi or mobile data is stable.

Re-add your account – Sometimes removing your email account from Outlook and then adding it back solves the problem.

Reinstall the app – Uninstall Outlook and reinstall the latest version from the Play Store.

If the issue continues, you can also contact Microsoft Support for further assistance.
