I have Windows 11 and Office 365. Outlook won't open. I get the circle for a few seconds after I click the icon, then nothing.

Hi! This issue can occur due to a damaged Office installation, outdated updates, or conflicting add-ins. First, please ensure that both Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 are fully updated by going to Settings > Windows Update and also checking for updates inside any other Office app (such as Word) under File > Account > Update Options.

If Outlook still doesn’t launch, try starting it in Safe Mode by pressing Windows + R, typing outlook.exe /safe, and pressing Enter. If it opens in Safe Mode, the problem may be caused by an add-in, and you can disable them under File > Options > Add-ins.

If Outlook does not launch in Safe Mode either, we recommend running a Quick Repair of Microsoft Office. To do this, go to Control Panel > Programs and Features, select Microsoft 365, choose Change, and select Quick Repair. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, try the Online Repair option, which takes longer but is more thorough.

As a last step, you can also create a new Outlook profile from Control Panel > Mail > Show Profiles in case the profile is corrupted. These steps typically restore Outlook functionality without requiring a full reinstall.

Look for any Microsoft Outlook process in Task Manager. Right click and select end task for any you see. Then try launching Outlook again.

If that fails, follow the advise of Jeronimo Fuerte.
