Surface Pro 7 Need Battery Bank

My daughter has a Surface Pro 7 and when she starts University next week she is going to have 4 classes twice a week. She is concerned that her battery only will last for 2 classes.

We are looking into getting a battery Bank to recharge for the other 2 classes.

The requirement is a 60 Watt - 15 Volt - 4 Amp

I did find a Ugreen on Amazon but it is 135 watts 20 volt and 3 amps. Chat GPT says that the Volt and Amp need to be the same or you can damage the battery or the computer. The Watts has a chip to protect the unit.

I haven’t been able to find something that matches.

Does anyone have a battery bank they use or another idea.

She and I appreciate your help

She doesn’t have access to an outlet in her classes and only has 15 minutes max between each class.

Thanks

Those charger specifications seem odd as 20 volts x 3 amps = 60W, not 135W. Perhaps that is the per port limit. At any rate, if you are charging your device with a USB-C PD power source, the charging protocol there will negotiate the rate of charge between the charger and the device. If it is not USB-C PD, you should look elsewhere for a charging solution.

You are correct that Surface Pro 7, requires at least 60W for recommended power. More at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/usb-c-and-fast-charging-for-surface-d320ab19-e4ed-c36d-7458-7d7aec69d34a

    Hope this helps,

    Greg

any reliable usb 60w+ power bank will charge the laptop. more import is energy storage. you need about 20,000 mAh for one full charge.

if the laptop is only getting 2-3 hours per charge, I'd look at replacing it with one that had at least 8 hours (advertised as above 12).
