Different SharePoint banners for users in the same organisation

Hi,

One of my colleagues has a different SharePoint banner compared to the rest of the organization.

This banner is not impacting this user's ability to access and use SharePoint. It is just a cosmetic difference.

Me and most of the others in the organization have this banner:

Are there any reasons for this difference? Can this difference for the user be rectified?

    • Is the user seeing this banner consistently across all devices and browsers?
    • Has the user customized their SharePoint theme or settings recently?
    • Is this user part of any special group or pilot program that might affect UI appearance?

    After reviewing the situation and conducting additional research, one common cause may be personal theme customization users might have applied different themes or display settings in their SharePoint profiles, which can alter how the banner appears. Additionally, variations in browsers and devices can contribute to these differences, as banners may render differently depending on whether the user is accessing SharePoint via Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or from a PC, Mac, or mobile device.
