Hi Serafin Neto,
Thank you for reaching out regarding the crash issue you're experiencing with Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2. Below are several steps that have helped other players resolve the UE-Apk2 crash that occurs after the save file loading screen:
Step 1: Move Save Data Temporarily
This solution has been verified by SEGA support and discussed by users in the Steam Community: Steam Discussion on UE-Apk2 Crash. While the previous agent mentioned this step, I’ve expanded the instructions below to make them easier to follow and ensure you can apply them confidently.
- Open File Explorer and enable Hidden items via the View tab.
- Navigate to:
C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Roaming\Sega\Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles2\Steam
- Inside the
Steam
folder, locate one or more folders with numeric names (e.g., 234523453
).
- Cut these folders and paste them to your Desktop.
- In Steam:
- Go to your Library
- Right-click the game → Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files
- Restart Steam and launch the game.
*Note: This may reset your save data. You can try restoring it from Steam Cloud afterward.
Step 2: Run the Game as Administrator
- In Steam:
- Go to Library → Right-click the game → Manage → Browse local files
- Locate
APK.exe
or APK-Win64-Shipping.exe
- Right-click → Properties → Compatibility tab
- Check Run this program as administrator → Click Apply
Step 3: Disable Intel Graphics (if dual GPU setup)
If your PC uses both Intel HD Graphics and a dedicated GPU:
- Open Device Manager → Display Adapters
- Right-click Intel Graphics → Disable device
Step 4: Unplug Extra Monitors
Some users have reported crashes when using multiple monitors.
Try running the game with only one monitor connected.
Step 5: Submit Crash Report to SEGA
If none of the above steps resolve the issue:
- Run
dxdiag
→ Click Save All Information
- Submit a ticket with your crash details and the dxdiag report here:
