Email asking to verify my age on Xbox

I received an email from ******@e.xbox.com discussing the new online safety act and how Xbox is is implementing safety precautions using Yoti. The email was incredibly convincing, making me use the microsoft authentication app and when my ID selfie didn’t work it took me to the Yoti site. After looking into the domain of the email it sounds like the email address was a phishing scam. Unfortunately due to how convincing it was I gave them my name, DOB, and phone number. Can I verify that this email is in fact a scam, and if it is, is there anything I can do to protect myself after falling for it.

Hi! My name is Aj and Im an Independent Advisor here to help! I can understand how concerning that feels. Official Xbox or Microsoft emails will always come from domains like @xbox.com or @microsoft.com and not addresses with extra prefixes like @e.xbox.com. They wont ask for ID verification through third-party sites by email as well so this is possibly a phishing scam.

Kindly do a safety steps like changing your password, turn on two-step verification if it isn't already enabled and watch for unusual activity. Also report it. Here's the link for additional information on what to do. Please copy and paste it on your browser:

DO NOT CLICK ON THIS EMAIL.

I was immediately suspicious because I've had this Microsoft account for over 18 years, so why would Microsoft think I'm under 18?
