Hi,

The app version of Teams no longer shows individual channels. It did not combine all of my channels and individual chats into one, I am missing the channels entirely from the chat section. It only shows most recent chats. See below. I also took a look at the options and there is no such option to separate out channels anymore. Also, when I click on the chat icon it briefly will flash the previous format with channels and mentions but it immediately switches back to the new view.

    Hi @Mahenoor Tahir

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Regarding that you can't see the Channels anymore.  I’d like to ask a few quick questions to better understand your situation and assist you more effectively:

    • Is this issue affecting other users in your organization, or just your account?
    • Have you tried accessing Microsoft Teams via the web browser? If so, does the issue persist there? This can help determine whether the problem is specific to the desktop app.
    • Are you an admin or a regular user in your organization?

if this issue happen only to Teams desktop app please try clear cache by following steps to check if the issue persists

    1. Sign Out from Teams application.
    2. Go to File Explorer, paste “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams” in location box and press Enter.
    3. Clear files in “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\blob_storage” location.
    4. Clear files in “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\Cache” location
    5. Clear files in “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\databases” location
    6. Clear files in “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\GPUcache” location
    7. Clear files in “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\IndexedDB” location
    8. Clear files in “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\Local Storage” location
    9. Clear files in “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\tmp” location
    10. Restart Teams and login your account.

If the issue still persists please try to uninstall Microsoft Teams and then reinstall it. You could refer to this article for a better view:

Thank you again for your time and understanding. While my initial response may not resolve the issue immediately, I’d like to gather more details about your situation so I can assist you more effectively.

I really appreciate your patience, and I’m here to help. Looking forward to your response!
