I have tried clearing cache and data on my browser and I also tried using the Outlook app, but it still didn't resolve anything.
Error when trying to download an attached file
Good morning. We experienced some issues with Outlook yesterday. While certain functions have been restored, several features remain unresolved, such as the inability to download attached files and the images not displaying properly.
I asked the IT team in my company and they have replied there would be nothing they can do. Would there be another way to resolve this?
Thank you.

Thank you for reaching out to us. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused, and we truly appreciate your proactive efforts such as clearing your browser cache and trying Outlook on both web and app platforms.
Based on our analysis, the issue you're experiencing may stem from a combination of Microsoft service disruptions and certain local configuration factors.
As a coordinator, I currently lack the tools and access needed to investigate this issue in depth. In this case, I recommend that you raise a support ticket with Microsoft’s technical team.
Once the ticket is submitted, a live support agent will contact you and work with you step-by-step until the issue is fully resolved.
While waiting for the agent to assist you, you can try the following methods to download attachments:
Method 1: Manually Save Email as PDF
- Open Outlook: Launch the Outlook application on your computer.
- Select the email: Click on the email you want to save to OneDrive.
- Print the email: Right-click the email and select Print. In the print dialog, choose Save as PDF as the printer option.
- Save the PDF file: Choose a location on your computer to save the PDF file.
- Upload to OneDrive: Log in to your OneDrive account via the website, click Upload, and select the saved PDF file to upload.
Method 2: Use OneDrive Integration in Outlook
- If you're using Outlook on the web, you can save attachments directly to OneDrive.
- Open the email, click the attachment, and select Save to OneDrive from the available options.
Alternatively, you can temporarily switch to Classic Outlook to access full functionality while the support agent works on resolving your issue.
To better assist you, I’ve sent you a private message (PM).
I look forward to your response and I look forward to hearing from you soon so that we can continue to work towards a resolution.
