Problem installing Windows 11 due to low disk space.

When trying to install Windows 11, I keep getting an error message indicating that there isn't enough disk space. I tried adding an external hard drive with 56 GB and repeated the process but, could only download 37% before it stopped. I have One Drive and noticed that there are duplicates of my PC's Documents, Pictures and Music files. Can I delete those files on my PC in order to have enough space to download and install Windows 11? Thank you!

    Hello

Are you upgrading from Windows 10 to 11?

How much free space do you have now on your C drive?

Don't just delete your files yet in Documents, Pictures and Music files, as the deletion can sync to your OneDrive and delete them there too. Instead, go to your OneDrive app settings (lower right cloud icon) > Settings > Sync and backup tab > Manage backup, turn those folders off first. Then restart the computer and then you can delete the locale files safely.
