Office 365: Unable to Access Email After iphone Authenticator Migration (Error Code 399287)

To reconfirm my mail credentials MS authenticator login is required. But, I moved to a new iPhone unaware of the backup / account export option, it was off on my old phone. Tried everything, like going back to my old Iphone, enabling cloud backup etc et etc. But you end up in a loop followed by the error code 399287 meaning you are blocked. I cannot access my account now for already a few weeks. And no, it does not allow other means of authentication like sms.
