Help!!!

Subject: Request for Domain Recovery Assistance in Office 365

To: Microsoft Support

Dear Microsoft Support Team,

I am reaching out to request assistance with recovering a domain currently tied to an Office 365 tenant that we no longer have access to. The domain in question is critical to our operations, and we need to re-establish control over it as soon as possible.

We believe the domain is still associated with a previous tenant that has since been decommissioned or is otherwise inaccessible. As part of this recovery, we would like to engage your Data Recovery team to help us:

  1. Verify domain ownership and eligibility for recovery.
  2. Detach the domain from the inaccessible tenant.
  3. Reclaim and reassign the domain to our current tenant.

Please let us know what documentation or verification steps are required to initiate this process. We are prepared to provide DNS validation, business verification, or any other necessary information.

    Hi @wade chapman
Thank you for posting question to Microsoft Q&A.

As this is forum and I am forum moderator, I am not able to access to Microsoft internal data to help you with this. With your request to remove the domain from inaccessible tenant, you will need to raise the ticket as Global Administrator in Microsoft 365 Admin Center (https://admin.microsoft.com)

By doing this, you will reach out to Microsoft 365 Support Team (instead of Forum moderators - only in this Microsoft Q&A) and they could help you to transfer this to Data Protection team - which could assist you in removing the domain from your inaccessible tenant. This process might take some time but assuming that you provide proof of ownership to them - you will eventually regain the domain and add it to your new tenant.

Please help me to raise this ticket and provide me the update if possible. I really hope that you will regain the access to that domain as soon as possible.
