My computer locked up and said it was locked by windows microsoft? had to call an 855 number

my computer locked up. loud noise saying i could not turn it off. must call them please to call this 855 number. dexter anderson said it is the only microsoft number. but that seems to be not true.

told me to call him at 843 439 5544. is that legitimate microsoft.

    Sounds like a scam. Do not call the # or click on

    anything on that screen.

    Power off your device and start it again.
