Hi! Arman.
That's a tough one, but let me help you with this. Microsoft has not acknowledged any known issues specifically tied to graphics or black screens from this update, suggesting this is not a widespread, recognized bug in KB5063842.
Here's the reference: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/august-26-2025-kb5063842-os-build-19045-6282-preview-0ee815c6-a742-4cae-b669-6978e0bfd425
Screen flicker and black screens are frequently linked to driver glitches.
Try this sequence:
Press Win + Ctrl + Shift + B to reset your graphics driver instantly.
Open Device Manager > Display adapters, and attempt to:
Roll back the driver.
If not available, update it.
Or uninstall the driver (check “Delete the driver software for this device”), then restart, Windows will reinstall it.
For a clean reinstall:
Use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) in Safe Mode to completely remove old drivers.
Then download and install the latest drivers directly from your GPU manufacturer's site (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel)
Best regards,
Kimberly
