Put Windows 11 on a new computer. Worked fine the first day but must have entered an incorrect key number. Now computer will not open as it does not recognize the key. When I indicate cannot remember key, Windows either moves to the screen save or to the enter key page, with no option to enter my password to change the key. How do I change the key?

The way out of this problem really depends on if there are other accounts on the computer or how they were setup. I wrote a little guide about various options at the page Reset Forgotten Windows Password. Although if everything else fails and nothing on that page helps either, the "final" solution is to reset the computer back to factory new condition and set it up again like it was just out of the box.
