I have been trying to set up a pin for my hotmail account. Everytime I try it assumes I should already have a pin tells me it's wrong then back to square one. When I've tried to create one when signing in, it keeps defaulting to another account. If you want people to add pins then you should make it a simple process of adding a pin and then let us actually add one than assuming there is one already.

I've paid for microsoft 365 and wasted my money as cannot add it properly to my computer as I need this Pin your system will not allow me to add.

The PIN is associated with the device, not the account. The account will set up a passkey, which involves creating a credential on your device for easy sign-in.

You should have the option to use Windows Hello as your passkey on Microsoft accounts. Windows Hello uses the same PIN for all sign-ins using Windows Hello.
