Hi, I am trying to connect Microsoft Access from local desktop to the Cloud Azure Synapse SQL Serverless Pool, and the port 1433 should be the default one for connection.

But when we are trying to search for answer from the internet, there're someone who mentioned that port 1443 should also be the one for connecting with the Serverless Pool.

Could someone help to explain which port for us to connect MS Access file from local desktop to the Azure Synapse SQL Serverless Pool? Is 1433, or 1443, or both of them?

Thank you.

    Hi Jason,

From Microsoft Access you would use TCP port 1433 to connect to Synapse SQL Serverless Pool, assuming you are connecting from outside of Azure via Internet. TCP 443 and 1443 are used by Synapse Studio.
