How to reset Yubikey Security Key now that I have a Windows Home User Account

I have been using a Yubikey 4 Security Key for three years in conjunction with a 'local user' account on my HP Windows 11 laptop.
I recently purchased a Yubikey 5 NFC to work with both my laptop and my Pixel mobile phone.
In attempting to follow the Windows installation instructions I now have a Windows Home User Account which is supporting fingerprint, face and pin logins but I can no longer use my Yubikeys, which is my preferred log-in method.
Yubikey help has suggested that I may need to revert to a local user account to use my Yubikey to login.
I will be travelling overseas with my wife in 3 weeks' time, and I want to be able to login with my Yubikey and for my wife to login with my Yubikey if necessary.
Please advise.
