my excel is not working it says repair now

For better understanding your issue, could you please provide us more details information as:

Did this problem appear in all Excel Workbooks or specific Workbook?

Which type of account you are using (personal account or business account)?

In the meantime, I suggest you try to repair Office application:

After repairing Office, if this issue still persists, I suggest you download the Office support tool to help you remove Office from PC completely. Then re-install Office and check if this issue still existed

Besides that, here are some suggestions you can try:

1. Update Office:
   • Open any Office app → File > Account > Update Options > Update Now.
2. Run an Online Repair:
   • Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
   • Select Microsoft Office, click Change, then choose Online Repair.
3. Disable Add-ins:
   • Open Excel in Safe Mode (press Ctrl while opening Excel).
   • Go to File > Options > Add-ins, disable all add-ins, then re-enable one by one.
4. Reset Excel application

• Right click to Excel app--> choose App setting--> find reset as screenshot below

Important: Back up the registry first (File → Export in Registry Editor).
