On Windows 10 Pro 22H2 running on an old Lenovo IdeaCentre A530 desktop, multiple Non-PnP Monitor entries are appearing in Device Manager.

This issue was discovered while diagnosing why some applications show a black window briefly before displaying correctly.

Hi, I'm Jan, and I'm happy to help you today. I'm sorry you're having these issues. Did you connect to or use another external monitor recently? It seems that the system still detects that other monitors are connected, or monitor entries from the previous setup. Here are some things you can try.

    • Try to power reset the computer.

Remove all external devices, external storage, controllers, and other USB devices.

    Shut down the computer.

Press and hold the power button for 20-30 seconds

then unplug your power adapter for 30 seconds

    Then power on your computer

    • Try pressing Windows key + P Then select "PC screen only" If the applications do not display on your screen properly, press the Windows key + P twice or until the open applications and icons appear.
    • Clean and install the Intel graphics drivers. Download the graphics drivers from the PC manufacturer's support website. Select the Custom install and Clean installation option.
    • Uninstall the multiple Non-PnP Monitor drivers in the Device Manager and restart the computer.
    • The problem can also indicate slow system performance. Try to perform a clean boot to reduce CPU load when launching applications. clean boot
