The 2025 release wave 2 plan covers all new functionalities planned to be delivered to market from October 2025 to March 2026. In this article, you'll find the product overview and what's new and planned for Microsoft Power Platform governance and administration.
Overview
With intuitive tools that streamline administration, the Power Platform admin center evolved into the unified governance hub for managing intelligent agents, agent-driven apps, and automated agent workflows across the Microsoft ecosystem. It provides the most secure, governable, and reliable platform for agent development.
In this release, we enrich the admin center experience by embedding four foundational pillars of the managed platform.
- Managed security offers advanced protection for an AI-driven world.
- Managed governance gives comprehensive visibility, granular control, and reduced administrative overhead. IT uses it to guide agentic innovation at scale.
- Managed operations strengthen operational excellence through dedicated monitoring, alerting, lifecycle management tools, and integrated automation.
- Managed availability gives enterprise-grade reliability and performance continuity for mission-critical workloads.
Together, these integrated capabilities enable organizations to confidently deploy zoned governance strategies. High-visibility, enterprise-wide solutions benefit from rigorous management with advanced security, comprehensive application lifecycle management, and other robust safeguards. At the same time, flexible and streamlined green zone governance securely empowers citizen developers.
This release wave further strengthens the Power Platform’s leadership in security, governance, and operational excellence. IT teams can confidently support both enterprise-grade and citizen-led agentic development at scale.
