Helenia, what I ultimately had to do was uninstall, download, and reinstall. It still gives me problems if the power goes out or the system updates.
Scanner Not Found
Windows 10
Epson 2800 eco tank printer
Starlink Internet
Unifi UDM Dream Machine Router
All programs on the PC will print to the printer. The printer shows up in the Devices and Printers section. I can see the device on my router's info page.
I tried downloading Epson's drivers, I could not get past the set up because the set up couldn't find the printer that the PC was already successfully talking to. I tried using the Windows Scan app, it cannot locate the scanner (connected to the printer that my pc is already successfully talking to). How do I install and set up one of these apps to enable scanning?
**This is the help given to me on the Windows website: Note:**If your scanner is included in a multifunction or All-In-One printer, you may only see the name of your printer. To see your scanner, under Printers & scanners, select your installed printer, select Manage, and then choose your scanner. - HOW? How do you choose your scanner? Nothing useful shows up with I click Manage. I have gone through ALL of the printer preferences, and settings, and hardware settings, and advanced settings and NOTHING references a scanner.
I cannot scan from the scanner from the touch screen because it doesn't recognize my PC, the same PC that is successfully sending it print jobs. The scanner does not have a USB or SD drive so I cannot scan to external device. I need these files UNCOMPRESSED on my PC so I do not want to scan to my phone and email them to myself.

We have two virtually identical Win11 PCs albeit with slightly different application sets. One never had a problem with the Brother CC4 and the other could not be fixed by any mortal/expert that tried. For the latter I found Vuescan that just worked.
I did that uninstall, download, reinstall, over and over multiple times to no avail, as did Brother's escalated support who gave up after hours of trying.
What breaks and what fixes the CC4/twain scanner driver problem seems to be specific to some PCs and a few like mine seem impervious to 'fixing'. Anecdotally it is related to a bug/change Microsoft introduced that breaks the RPC call for a few apps, one even being the Microsoft Win11 DISM tool, but only with a specific option, and CC4.
