Also, there's a right side area of the trackpad that seems to never register taps as a left click, maybe that area is reserved as a scroll-only zone that we can't turn off yet???
I'm pretty sure what you're referring to is Devices -> Mouse & Trackpad -> Press on the lower right corner of the touchpad to right-click. I found it annoying too, and turned it off and it's totally fine.
Meanwhile, I too experience the issues mentioned in this thread (inset lock screen sometimes, and other times seeing the desktop flicker before the lock screen shows). I don't think I've experienced never being able to dismiss it short of Ctrl+Alt+Del, though I have seen instances of a separate issue (and one not isolated to the Surface Book) where sometimes the keyboard doesn't work to slide up the lock screen.
I sure hope they're aware of and working on resolving this; doesn't seem like a very good sign when you've got multiple blatant lock screen glitches going on. I don't think I've ever seen an earlier version of Windows get something like this wrong...
