Surface Book 3 VMware Issues

I'm trying to get VMware working on the laptop (i7, 32gb, 1tb). I never installed HyperV but keep getting errors about it causing problems blocking the VMs running. I decided to try it but it wasn't acceptable as I need USB passthrough for a particular job (programming from WinXP).

I've scoured the net tried all the uninstalls, powershell scripts, etc and nothing works. MSinfo32 shows a hypervisor running when NEITHER HyperV or VMware are installed so I'm stuffed if I know where this hypervisor is coming from.

There is nothing about virtual sharing etc in the bios/cmos of the SB3 to enable/disable like there is on a normal system.

I also tried virtualbox but it refused to even create VMs iirc.

Any ideas on how do fix this would be appreciated because it's getting REALLY annoying. I didn't have the issue on my SurfaceBook2 IIRC and definitely didn't have it on my Toshiba laptop and it runs sweet on my desktop (which claims it does have Hyper-V installed but neither HV or Sandbox are ticked in features).

Someone else found it a couple of days ago sorry .. in Windows Security/Device Security/Core Isolation/Memory Integrity and turn that off.

For some reason in my case I couldn't turn this off and had to go through some cmd prompt commands and gpedit and I think there was a regedit too.

So mine is working now but there is a serious issue there.
