Good day, Ladies and Gents.

I have a split access database, which has been loaded onto Access Runtime.

I have one report which is not updating the information entered into the form.

The form is linked to other reports which all update.

I have tested the split database on my second computer and the report updates fine.

Could this be an issue with the instillation on the front-end. All other reports, queries and forms are working perfectly.

Your advice will be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

Alan,

It may be that the report in the first machine's front end file has become corrupted. Try copying it to the clipboard and then pasting it back under a new name. Open the new copy and see if that correctly returns the data from the table. If it does then delete the original report and rename the copy back to the original name.

    Hi George

    Thanks for your response,

If I did not correctly link the non-functioning FE accedes to the back end accdb. would I not have the same problem on my second computer. Where I installed the back end accdb and the front-end accde file.

On my second computer I entered the information into the form on the front end accde file and the report updates perfectly.

The sharded folder and mapped drives were installed by the IT department.

I will ask for the mapping path.

Thanks once again for your assistance.

Is the form a bound form whose RecordSource is a table or a query whose table or tables also feed the report's RecordSource? If so does editing data in the form successfully edit the data in the table or tables in question?

    Hi Ken

    Thanks for your response.

Yes, the form is a bound form, who's record source is a table.

The reports record source is a query, when you open the report, it opens the enter parameter value set in the criteria for the query. The edited data in the form, successfully edits the data in the table.

The form is also linked to another report which updates the data.

It was updating fine in both reports, I was requested to add an additional report, and the problem as occurred since the IT department loaded the new updated front end accde file.

I loaded the back end and the new updated front accde file on my second computer and the reports update perfectly.

    Appreciate your assistance

    Thanks Alan
